There is nothing I love more than a wrap coat. I take that back. There is nothing I love more than this wrap coat. No offense to the long line of other wrap coats you’ve seen me in this season. Matt bought this burgundy Tahari coat for me for my birthday last year without any help from me or my wishlist. Wow. I was impressed (and still am)! Partly because I’m notoriously difficult to shop for and partly because Matt’s idea of female fashion is quite unique. Half the time it’s spot on and the other half, it looks like something out of a strip club. This time, he nailed it (and it definitely would not be found in a strip club).

I haven’t bought jeans in years. As embarrassed as I am to say that, it’s true. I’m one of those people who buys multiple of something they love so my denim collection has been pretty substantial for awhile until recently. After look for a new pair, I discovered the High Class Skinny. Love the high waist and love the texture of the material. They’re super stretchy which naturally means they’re comfortable. And if I’m going to be sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day or out on the dance floor with my girls, that’s a requirement!

The key details of this outfit are the plaid blanket scarf (which is convertible to a cape) and the black tote. The subtle print mixing gives the outfit just a tiny bit more flair which I’m all about. Life is too short to be boring.
