I’m tired. It’s only Tuesday and I am over this work week like I’m over the man bun. Seriously. Who can say they like either of those things? If you have strong feelings either way, let me know in the comments. I don’t know about you but my only strong feelings are about this white midi dress right now. And a vacation.
What does it say about me that I’m 2 days into the week and I’m already thinking about my next vacation? I’m not even thinking about the weekend. I’ve skipped right over than at my mind has practically gotten on a Southwest flight (they’re snacks are the best) and left already. Sigh!
This past weekend, we spent some time with Matt’s family. We hadn’t seen them in awhile since my sister’s wedding festivities had us back in California so many times this year. They all asked how I was doing. Specifically, with regard to the cold. Hm. I could be honest or I could feign toughness. I picked the former haha!
Truth be told, I’m over it. I’m tired of being cold. Now before y’all say I told you so, here’s why. If it’s going to be cold, at least let there be snow! Freezing cold temps with zero snowflakes is just no fun. There’s nothing pretty to look at. At this point, I’m pretty sure I’m never going to dethaw. And I’m pretty freaking over of wearing two pairs of pants. Not sexy! My hands have been cold for so long my text messages are full of typos. I’m texting like my mom haha. So many misspelled words than you can’t even understand part of the point I’m trying to communicate. The only possible response from people is “what?” Sorry for calling you out, mom!
But honestly, I don’t know how you midwest girls do it! Someone told me the east coast has it worse but I’ve been comparing the weather forecast and I’m pretty sure we win. Although I’m not sure anyone wants to win in this scenario. Anyway, I keep telling myself I only have 2 months to go. I’m preparing for the worst and hoping for the best!
I guess I should talk a little about the photos in this post too. This white midi dress was from our trip to Tampa a few weeks ago! Seeing these lines up on the deck of our hotel made me want to put some in our front yard… when we actually have a house one day!

I have no winter advice because I hate it too! I will say it does get easier, though. This year was my fifth real winter in my life and I’m finally beginning to enjoy it. It helps to find a winter activity you like. I learned to ski this year and it really helped!
