First off, I realize this post might look like every other post. It’s not (although I still linked my outfit which is a must have for spring). Don’t just skip through the photos. I’m hoping you’ll help me out a little today! So my ask is simple. What do you want to see more of from me? What kinds of posts do you love here on Visions of Vogue and which ones could you do without?

If you’re wondering about the reason for the ask, I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately. I hate feeling like I’m writing a monologue with every blog post. I’m definitely not the center of attention IRL. When I was living in LA, a company contacted me to come interview for a position. It’s a company I’d venture to guess you ALL know too. They happened to google me before the interview so obviously they found this blog (it’s not hard as I don’t try to hide it). You’d be surprised how many companies don’t do this though and are shocked when they find out!
Anyway, during the interview my would-be boss asked me if I would ever blog full time. I answered no and gave a few reasons. I’ve been thinking about sharing those here. Any interest? She said “good, because that seems like a very self centered exercise”. Wow. Talk about harsh! Thank god I answered that question correctly. Totally dodged an awkward situation there!
All this to say, I want this blog to feel less like a monologue and more like a conversation. It needs to be less about me, more about you. To the extent it can be. I still have to put myself in the photos unless any of you want to volunteer! Any day I don’t have to do my hair is a great day for me! Win win. I want to give you guys content that is interesting to you. I want to provide tips on things you want me to share tips on. While I may think I’m not qualified to be dishing out advice, if you have something you want to know about, let me know! I’m down to try anything.
Am I doing an okay job? Is reading a post painful? Do you hate fashion posts but love home posts? Maybe you hate both. Prefer beauty or travel? I spent 3 years doing finance in the beauty industry (which I mentioned here) so I’m happy to share more on that! Maybe you hate it when I wear braids in my hair. If that’s the case, don’t bother scrolling down. There’s more photos of me in braids. Just hit the “end” button and jump straight to the comments to tell me that :)
Whatever you have to say, let me hear it. I want to know what you guys want. Be specific. Be general. I don’t care. Just tell me something! This blog isn’t meant for me to read (writing it is enough!) and I want to get a sense of how I’m doing.

So first of all, I love your braids hehe and I’m totally jealous because I’ve never been able to master braided hairstyles! Secondly, I love your blog! So much! I think that your Friday Fives are some of my favorite posts, and I love when Matt takes over. I would definitely be curious in hearing your reasons for not blogging full time. It seems to be quite the trend now but realistically I don’t know how sustainable it is, how realistic it is and how many it can work for since the market is saturated.
