With one week left of wedding planning, I’ve put together a list of the things that have been uber helpful during this exciting (yet stressful) time!
1. Stay organized: There’s nothing more important than having everything clearly laid out. This Wedding Book is a great place to keep everything wedding related – inspiration, contact info, contracts – all of it. Excel is also an amazing tool to keep tabs on your budget. That might be the finance manager in me talking but it was so helpful to see everything all laid out and helped reduce the stress when you’re saving up for the big day.
2. Start early: Everyone has asked me over the last couple months what they can do to help. Aside from the fact I’m trying to be the anti-bridezilla, I have to admit that I haven’t been that overwhelmed with wedding tasks. I think it’s because I literally started the day after we got engaged (despite having everyone tell me to just enjoy being engaged). I’m a serial planner – planning is my jam! I live for this!
3. Inspiration: Go on Pinterest. A LOT. The more you see the more you can start to weed out what you don’t like. Settling on what you like is harder but your vendors are there to help. Better to have more than less!
4. Have fun: Remember that you’re marrying the guy of your dreams and don’t forget to relish in the small stuff. Matt and I had so much fun along the way: tastings, picking out music, wine tastings… Live it up!
If you have any questions for me, leave them in the comments and I’m happy to help in any way! I know it can be a lot of pressure and would love to help in any way!
