Wedding Weekend: Hair and Makeup

For the second wedding related post, I’m talking the fun stuff: hair and makeup trials! There’s nothing more exciting for a girl than getting pampered and looking her best. As a bride, I was in search of the perfect team to take care of hair and makeup for our wedding. There were so many things I was looking for in addition to killer beauty skills.

I wanted someone fun who could fit right in with the girls before the biggest moment of my life. I’m predicting I’ll be a bundle of nerves so I’ll need some major support. Someone on trend – I’ve seen so many wedding updos and only a few have caught my eye. It needed to be amazing, romantic yet glamorous! Most of all, I needed a team was efficient so I didn’t have to worry about time right before the wedding. It totally stresses me out to be late. Let me tell you, Dee from Swell Beauty was all of these – she curled my full head of hair in 20 minutes!

After giving her a vague description of what I thought I wanted and flashing a few photos on my iPhone her direction, she whipped up this gorgeous look. She listened to every detail, every concern I had and completely wiped them away. All the areas I am insecure about were covered – and we all have some, right? She created such a stunning look that even my fiance said something to me when I got home!

I’ve had the privilege of having the Swell Beauty team do my hair and makeup twice already and let me tell you, they don’t disappoint. They created a completely different look for another collaboration I worked on and I love both of them. Now THAT is impressive because I’m one of the pickiest people ever!
