I have been asked a few times what my pre-wedding fitness routine was so I’m sharing all the details today. First, I worked out a pretty decent amount. I’m totally addicted to Pure Barre – it’s the only thing I’ve found that helps me tone without making me look like one of these guys. While muscles are great, I didn’t want to worry that I would become The Hulk on my wedding day and rip my dress. I mixed up my workouts with Core Power Yoga and some regular gym cardio. Matt and I had a few date nights at the gym which was so cute. Obviously, he didn’t last more than 15 minutes on the elliptical before going off to pump some iron.
Second, I was vegan for the last month. I read somewhere that Beyonce went vegan before the Met Gala so I felt inspired by the Queen herself. While I was already mostly vegan since dairy has decided to disagree with me in my recent years, I felt sooo much better. And while my wedding dress wasn’t nearly as sexy as Beyonce’s, I certainly felt like I was walking the red carpet day of. Check my Instagram for a sneak peek!
Third, I did a juice cleanse from Project Juice. I love the impact it has on your skin almost immediately. It definitely gives you a foundation for that bridal glow! I did the Advanced Reset cleans and as odd as it looks, the Black Magic juice was my favorite of the day!
Fourth, cute workout clothing. When it doubt, motivate yourself with some fashionable clothing to get your fitness on. The set I’m wearing here is by Cozy Orange – lots of crazy prints and I love the straps on this sports bra. Plus, I’ve been really into purple lately which might also be an influence Matt has had on me. So weird he’s the only guy I’ve ever met who loves the color purple. Right up there with anything neon.

Also, how long did your juice cleanse last for? And, last one how often did you work out? I need to lose weight quickly so please :)

Hi Alicja! I would love to make my own but as you can imagine, it’s sometimes hard with the time! I love the cleanse program because it’s strategic and I honestly love the flavors. I work out 5-6 days a week incorporating various exercises! If you check out my Pinterest board there are some amazing recipes for vegans out there: https://www.pinterest.com/jcolgrove/recipes-eat/!!
