One of my favorite things to do is shop for tropical vacations. Shopping in general is pretty darn fun but shopping for vacation adds a whole new element of excitement. With the promise of sunshine, unplugging from the office, and uninterrupted moments with your favorite people though, it isn’t surprising. Of course that beach air and salty hair is a beauty trick you just can’t get from a bottle either.
Vacation shopping for me means lots of crop tops and tropical prints. Light fabrics and flowy pieces are perfect for that carefree beach vibe and even more perfect for when you’ve realized you’ve spent a little too much time on the beach and emerge looking like a lobster. Matt and I went to Santa Monica last weekend for the first time this summer and he got sooo sun burnt. I kept making fun of him by imitating lobster claws all night. He wasn’t pleased.
These Desigual shorts are one of my summer staples since they’re so colorful. You can’t look at them and NOT want to smile. Predictable as it may be, I paired a crop top with the high waist. I love this outfit because you could easily wear it to dinner or swap out the heels for sandals for a daytime look. When you’re forced to fit your vacation wardrobe into a tiny suitcase (all suitcases are tiny in my mind since none can hold my entire closet), versatility is everything.

Ummmm this look is THE BUSINESS! I haven’t been up to date on my blog roster and girl I can’t believe what I’ve been missing over here! Seriously love it. The jewels are fab, and those shorts!
Also, lobster claws! Reminds me of that Friends episode: “He’s her lobster!” :) xo
