For those of you that don’t follow me Instagram, Matt and I just got back from our mini moon in Belize. Matt planned the entire trip – I didn’t even know what country we were going to until we were at the airport! It’s extremely unfamiliar ground for me because usually I’m the serial planner – Matt gets gmail calendar invites form me regularly with weekend plans months in advance. He did an AH-mazing job planning everything and we stayed on this tiny caye off the southern coast of Belize called Thatch Caye Resort which was just beautiful. They took such great care of us that we are already planning out trip back but their reviews speak for themselves.
Life on the island lent itself well to crop tops about which you can bet I’m not upset. I picked up this off the shoulder top from The Trend Boutique. It’s the perfect piece to pair with everything when you’re restricted to getting dressed out of a suitcase. Easy to wear and comfortable above all else, I ended up wearing this crop top more than once over the course of the week. This LA girl isn’t used to humidity so the breathable material and stretchy fit was exactly what I wanted to put on after a day in the sun!
For one of our private dinners at Thatch Caye (they have the most beautiful palapa to eat under), I turned this AX Paris dress into a skirt for that beach vibe. Keeping with the white vibe, I borrowed these Retro Super Future sunglasses from DITTO for the trip. I find I wear white sunglasses more than anything else during the summer because it really brightens up your outfit.
