Spotlight Saturday: Amazon Fashion

When y’all think about online shopping for clothing, Amazon probably doesn’t cross your mind first. I’m betting Nordstrom or Revolve top your list. To be expected. But I’ve been watching Amazon ramp up their fashion game lately and I have to give them credit. There’s something to be said for a site where you can shop for some random tech device at the same time as a cute floral dress. I’ve also found more than a few deals that have me second guessing buying that exact same item for full price elsewhere.

Let’s not ignore the obvious. There is a LOT on Amazon.com. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, it can be downright overwhelming. As I’ve been shopping for clothing more there, I’ve tended to stick to a few brands I know and love. The brands I shop a lot for on Amazon are: Soludos, BB Dakota, Kate Spade, and Dolce Vita. But the more I shop, the more brands I discover are actually on there. Cupcakes and Cashmere, Show Me Your Mumu (hello fun prints!), and even Mara Hoffman. Yes, Mara freaking Hoffman is on Amazon and there are 14 pages of products. It is also now connected to Shopbop so you can shop your favorite luxury brands with all the benefits of Prime.

As I’ve branched out, I’ve found some amazing steals too. Plus, I totally see the benefit of buying this week’s groceries with my brunch outfit. PS. have you tried Prime Pantry yet? I’m planning to go order another box right after I’m done writing this. So easy and the prices are actually really good deals – like better than the supermarket in some cases. • Espadrille bow wedges. I included these in my round up of the 5 cute wedges you need for summer post! I ended up wearing them last Sunday when we went to Wingfest and a friend’s house afterward. I also picked up some goodies for our trip to Mexico next month (which included a 40 minute round trip walk). My feet were totally fine! If you’ve had your eye on any of the Marc Fisher wedges, check the prices on Amazon first. Every now and then you’ll find one color or size is discounted!

• Waterfall Maxi dress. This maxi sold out everywhere else and this goes to show you can count on Amazon to stock things appropriately!! It’s available in all sizes too. For more pictures, you can see the full post here. It’s a great dress for summer weddings and any warm weather vacations you have coming up.

• Valentino Rockstud dupes for $115. I read through so many of the reviews and it sounds like they are legit! I’m all about saving $900 on a luxury purchase if the quality is there. Who needs to know? There is also the open toe version here.

• Chambray off the shoulder dress. You can catch the full post here but this dress is the perfect summer brunch outfit and/or coverup. Super affordable and forgiving in terms of fit too. Plenty of room to eat alllll the guac.

• Fringe Block Heels. Remember those to-die-for black heels from Monday’s post? Amazon has them in 4 colors and some of them are on sale! How about the pink one?
• Seashell One Piece Bathing Suit. I’ve been dying for this suit! It looks so flattering on everyone who tries it on. If you happen to be a small and want the blue color, it’s only $81 which for a Mara Hoffman piece, is pretty much like they are paying you to buy it!
