Sneak Peek: Bedroom Reveal with Urban Home

Y’all, we got a king sized bed and it is a GAME CHANGER. I don’t think I’ve ever slept like a baby in my entire life until now. Even when I was an actual baby.

After 3.5 years of sharing a queen with my 6’3″ husband (who slept diagonally so his feet didn’t hang off the bed), this has changed my life. Words cannot describe it. As with most of our major home purchases, this was a mutual decision. Although, I reserve the right to make 100% of the smaller decisions on my own for fear of ending up with a LeBron James themed house. I did the research and presented Matt with 3 options – any more than that and he gets overwhelmed. Of course, he selected this St. James Cal King from Urban Home. Ever since I’ve known him he’s talked about having a Cal King and how “big league” it is. Just one of the many baseball analogies I’ve come to understand over the course of our relationship. As you might of picked up from my previous home posts, Matt loves LeBron James so the name of this bed sealed the deal for him!

Because you can’t just have a bed without a mattress, we also picked up Urban Home’s Florence Mattress. The coil technology reduces the transfer of motion between people and after putting that to the test, I totally believe it. Literally. I jumped on the bed next to him to see how much he could feel! Matt always jokes that I’m like a tornado in my sleep. Spinning, flipping, tossing, turning, I’m constantly moving when I’m unconscious apparently. So, you can imagine he’s much happier too.

After redecorating my office and our entryway, I’ve learned that it takes a fair amount of time and effort to find those perfect pieces. As much as I wish I could snap my fingers and have the space totally designed, all that hard work is worth it in the end. I can’t wait to share the finished product with you guys in about a month!
