Shoulders and Sleeves

A rare Tuesday post because I am way behind so I’m dedicating this week to vacation style! For anyone planning a last minute summer trip or with a getaway on the horizon, this is for you. I walked out to model it (he loves this believe it or not) and asked what he thought. Little did I know I wouldn’t agree with his answer. His response? That I looked like I was severely sunburned and trying to hid from the sun in a hospital gown.

To be fair, this dress does make a great cover up (to protect from a sunburn). To be even more fair, Matt’s sense of female fashion is stuck somewhere between a Vegas nightclub and college in the midwest. Yeah, I went there. Of course, I didn’t listen to him (so glad I didn’t!) and brought it with us. Sure enough, I’ve gotten so many compliments on it since. I’m also rocking one of my favorite hairstyles lately: the topknot. I realized I’ve been wearing this for months yet somehow don’t have a single picture of me in it! With “comfortable naturalist” accommodations and strong winds all day, there was no way I was even attempting to curl my hair (which prefers that I leave it stick straight). This half up half down topknot was the perfect solution for vacation hair.
