Tank: James Perse; Sweater: Anthropologie; Skirt: ASOS; Shoes: Steve Madden; Bag: ASOS; Bracelet: BaubleBar, Jewelmint; Ring: Baublebar
Before leaving for Chicago, I was experimenting with different wardrobe choices that I thought I could wear in this infamous winter weather everyone kept warning me about. I also didn’t want to commit the fashion crime of resorting to pants for 2 weeks because that didn’t feel like what a fashionista should do. This adorable pleated skirt, which is surprisingly warm, was in the running for a highly coveted spot in my suitcase at one point. However, it ended up being a battle of the sweaters as I frantically packed everything from my closet that was long-sleeved and even moderately thick. You can imagine, there wasn’t a lot given the last decade I’ve spent in LA. Anyway, I’m glad I did that because after learning what 11 degrees feels like, there is not a chance in hell I’m going to wear anything but pants outside. So in honor of NYE and the sequin-mania, I’m posting this outfit with sparkly accessories – photos were taken before I left as you can tell by the general lack of snow and ice.
PS. I’m hoping to post at least one thing from my trip but at the moment, you can’t even see my outfit since it’s covered in blankets and Matt’s Maltese Bichon.
