Can you believe it’s already the end of September? I can’t. You know what else I can’t believe? That today is my last day living in Los Angeles!! Matt and I are heading off to Denver for the weekend before moving to Chicago! I keep getting asked by everyone if I’m excited. Truthfully, I don’t feel a thing. I know I should but the reality just hasn’t set in. Talk to me in a month when I’m sitting in our new apartment with everything unpacked. Then, I’ll be excited!
To celebrate this transition in our lives (and let Matt off the hook for shooting another blog post), I’m rounding up 10 outfit favorites from the month of September. It was a little hard because so many of my photos were from Ireland and I shared a ton! If you missed the posts, here is my favorite post (so far) on Irish castles. I also covered the Ring of Kerry here and colorful seaside towns of Cork and Cobh. Hint: there are 2 more to come including our full itinerary so stay tuned! You can always go to the travel category (under ‘lifestyle’ in the menu) to catch up on where I’ve been lately.
With that, here is the round up!
My two favorite parts of this outfit are these Katleen booties (restocked for the FOURTH time) and this floral peasant blouse! Both are such quintessential fall items and can be worn with so many items. Versatile pieces always mean a lower CPW (cost per wear) and I’m all about that. I’d also recommend getting these booties ASAP before they sell out again! Trust me, they are worth it!
I had so much fun styling these leggings by Lucy in 3 different ways (the 3rd is on it’s way)! It’s crazy how they look like jeans but are actually workout pants. I wish I could live in my workout clothes so this was a September favorite! Not to mention how well they paired with these black suede over the knee boots!
Matt and I spent a weekend in Phoenix this month where you first saw this outfit. I’ll be honest. It was WAY too hot to be wearing denim. However, with half my closet in moving boxes, I definitely did not plan proper attire for triple digit temps. We ended up going to two baseball games because the stadium was so nicely air conditioned (they had the roof closed). Matt loves baseball. I don’t know how Arizona residents survive!
I am really excited to get more mileage out of these leather D’Orsay flats throughout fall though. I’ll be walking to work in Chicago (goodbye traffic filled commute!) so they’re a great alternative to heels.
This photo was from when I first announced we were moving! Y’all loved it so much I decided to bring it back. Lace ups are here to stay this season so why not pair that trend with a classic: the LBD? At $68, it’s a total steal. Also, check out the braided side detail on these cognac booties! I ended up packing them in a box already and am regretting that decision.
In Dublin, I incorporated a little prep into my style with this oxblood leather skirt. If I had to describe my style, ‘preppy’ might not find it’s way into that description but I think it’s fun to incorporate elements sometimes. I had a few people ask me if the skirt wrinkles and it doesn’t. It sat in my suitcase for 2 weeks (and then another after that) without wrinkling at all. I love it when that happens! Especially when your handheld steamer breaks after day one of vacation haha!
I’m utterly obsessed with this oxblood crossbody. If you’re new to Cuyana, I challenge you to browse their website and NOT click away loving at least 5 things. They are all about fewer better thing – a motto I can get behind.
Okay, y’all. You’ve seen me wear these black rockstud sandals over and over again. They are 100% an investment piece but worth it. They are so comfortable and last for years. Yes, years. I’m a huge believer in finding your designer and sticking to it which is why most of my big ticket items are by Valentino. I invest in 1 classic item a year and make sure to get tons of use out of it!
Let’s discuss this rose bomber jacket. I typically opt for jackets with more structure (particularly narrower waists to slim my figure). However, bomber jackets introduce a lot of playfulness and spunk into outfits which is why I love them.
Hope y’all enjoyed the round up! Wish me luck on the move and have a great weekend!
