I’ve been obsessing over the silhouette created by pairing this pleated midi with a crop top. Easy to wear, the outfit shows a tiny bit of skin to keep it tasteful yet interesting. The geometric pattern on this skirt moves so well, almost creating an optical illusion as the pleats blow in the wind – like one of those magic eye images you used to try to see an image inside of as a kid.
The key to a flattering crop top is the design. I love this Free People crop top because the angled cut is so incredibly slimming. While I’ve paired it with a high-waisted skirt (the safest bet), I could probably get away with pairing it with pants or layered over a longer top. I’ve been known to layer my crop tops over button downs for a modest look that gives you some shape and allows you to wear these amazing pieces to work!
And bring out the big necklaces – it’s the Friday and it’s time to sparkle. Plus both this crop top and the skirt are on sale! Hope y’all have a lovely weekend!
