OOTD 2.5.18: Heart Print Blouse and Cropped Dress Slacks

This heart printed blouse is one of those blouses that every business woman has in her closet. It’s easy to tuck into any kind of bottom (including dress slacks) and it won’t leave those awkward bumps. It has a tasteful v-neck and a great fit that makes it office appropriate without being boring. I often wear tops like this under my suits to interviews even for a little something different! This heart print is very subtle but if you’re not a pink kind of girl, it comes in so many different colors and prints. It’s definitely more on the pricey end but it’s an investment you’ll have in your closet for years to come.

I had my corporate girls in mind when I bought these high waisted pants! I love that they are different than the regular business pant. I always have such a difficult time finding great slacks, which is partly why I always stick to jeans. However, I really like the high waist and that you can tie the belt around the waist. You can even swap it out for a leather belt if you wanted to make more of a contrast between the belt and the pants. They’re under $100 which I feel is so rare for good quality dress slacks.

I’m wearing these beige pumps which are designer but don’t forget that these are on sale! I’ve linked to a similar and more affordable pair because I think of designer pumps more as something you have later in your career – not fresh out of college. You’ll notice that I wear my Sam Edelman ones most of the time because they are more affordable and more comfortable too. With these pants, I wanted a little extra height and these are the only other beige ones I have!
