Matt and I are finally headed somewhere warmer today! At this point, I don’t remember what anything over 70 feels like. And I’m pumped. Where are we going? Tampa. Why? Baseball (of course).
Yes, we are going to spring training. And while Tampa hasn’t ever been on my list of places to visit, I’m all in after a quick check of the weather forecast! For anyone who’s followed me for awhile, you know baseball is a big part of my life. Mostly because it IS Matt’s life. He’s the biggest fan. Ask him any stat, he knows. His resume also includes a fantasy baseball championship win (sorry ladies, he’s all mine). He wants to go to every baseball stadium in America. As his wife, guess who gets to go along… And I’m bringing ALL the comfy gear like this flared sleeve tee from Goodnight Macaroon!
Before we moved to Chicago, we made it our mission to check off all the west coast stadiums. It helped that Southwest ran a promotion for SoCal residents at the same time. You could get the companion pass for flying only 5 round trip flights last summer/fall. You better believe we did that and it’s already paid off. Also part of the reason we haven’t been home much this year!
So, while Tampa isn’t exactly checking a stadium off the list, we are planning to spend a few days by the pool which means this is my spring break. Wahoo! I know it’s not Cabo, but when 9 hours a day are spent in a cubicle looking at a computer monitor, it might as well be.
