Y’all, this is not your grandma’s shawl. Okay, so maybe it could be. But if this is any indication of what I’ll be wearing in 60 years, sign me up. Grandmas have it figured out. If you can wear a blanket outside of the house and make it look chic, that’s something to be proud of. Forget all those accomplishments on your resume. This one belongs at the top (IMO).
Now, this pretty fringe shawl somehow sold out in a matter of days so I linked to a few ivory favorites below including this one which is almost identical! I have a hunch it will be restocked though so you might want to keep checking back! This brand makes a ton of cozy loungewear so if you’re in the market, check it out. On a side note, I’m also dying over this pom scarf with ‘baby it’s cold outside’ embroidered on it! Adorbs.
While most of America feels like spring is around the corner, Chicago is still stuck in winter. So if you don’t see me posting flirty dresses as much as I used to this year, you know why. Because it’s effing freezing outside. If you need me, I’ll be wearing 2 pairs of pants and all the slouchy sweaters Nordstrom makes. This brown one is a recent add with would also look cute layered over a collared button down for the office. I wore something similar to work on my Snapchat this week!
I feel like I have had to walk funny ever since moving to Chicago, flats are becoming more frequent for me. The ground is usually so slick with snow or wet with rain that I’m constantly baby stepping my way through the city. My walk to work takes longer and I have totally fallen on my butt especially during the first couple snowfalls. I learned my lesson! These Stuart Weitzman’s are one of my favorite pairs of over the knee boots perfect for walking! If you’re interested in another color, check out this post which has the buff ones for 50% off! Also a great neutral color.
What is your favorite winter accessory? A go-to piece you always grab on your way out the door? Comment with your favorite pieces. Help, I need more inspiration!
PS. No idea why I’m standing pigeon-toed in all of these photos.
