A New Skincare Routine with Colleen Rothschild

When your husband looks at you from across the dinner table and says “your skin looks really good”, you keep doing what you’re doing and never stop. It’s not that Matt isn’t complimentary because honestly, he says I look great every day. It’s that he noticed a change. And for a man to notice a change as small as your skin care routine, well, that’s huge.

I’ve been using the Colleen Rothschild AM and PM routines daily for almost two weeks now and have been thoroughly impressed. Not only have I noticed a difference but the products smell amazing!

My morning routine varies based on where I’m getting ready. To cleanse, I use an exfoliator, the Balancing Cleansing Gel usually paired with a Konjac scrubber, or sometimes I skip the washing altogether if I don’t workout. I definitely over exfoliate according to some but I love the feeling and I consistently get compliments. I forgot to pack my face scrub for Japan and came home with very dull skin reminiscent of how a lizard would look right before it sheds. It was gross. Then I started this routine!

Next, I dab on some of this Vitamin C Treatment Complex and let this absorb for a minute or two – I’m usually multitasking while getting ready so brush your teeth or straighten up while you wait. I’ve definitely noticed a more even skin tone because of it and a youthful glow. I mean, Matt clearly noticed and he had food in front of him at the time! Last step is to moisturize with the Sheer Renewal Cream. It’s extremely lightweight so no one will be able to see their reflection in your skin by 11AM. No one wants an oily face! At night, my skin care routine is like my religion. I swear by it. I’ve been removing my makeup and wiping away the day with the Radiant Cleansing Balm. I NEVER go to sleep with my makeup on no matter how exhausted I am. Any brand with a ‘cleansing balm’ gains instant credibility in my book. All those bottles of liquid makeup remover that I used as a teen never really worked that well. This cleansing balm is extremely gentle as well and doesn’t leave your skin dried out after you dry your face. I’ve had that experience where I can’t even wait a minute to put on my moisturizer because the cleanser took all the moisture out of my skin. None of that here!

Next up is my absolute favorite beauty product ever. Face oil. If you don’t use face oil, you need to start immediately. Seriously, go order some. This one might be my favorite so far. You only need one pump adequately hydrate your skin. SO luxurious. I mix it with the Extreme Recovery Cream and gently pat into my face and neck. I’ve already noticed a more balanced complexion and general firmness everywhere. There’s definitely more work that can be done on my frown lines but this regimen is working really well so I’m excited to see what a few more weeks can do!
