It’s no secret that matching separates are my thing. I mean, hello this blush set was my favorite outfit of spring. With a long torso, it’s just plain tough to find a dress where the waist actually hits at my waist and high on my rib cage. While this may not seem like a big deal to some, it’s a big freaking deal. A well fitted dress has every ability to slim you down 10 pounds while an ill fitted one can do the exact opposite. And while I may be off my wedding diet, I don’t need anything helping me gain a few pounds (whether actually or visually) even faster.

Because I’ve just about given up on hope when it comes to finding a dress that fits off the rack (and my tailor is now on speed dial), I’m just going with matching separates this summer. Is that a hint of what’s to come? Maybe. Either way, I love this periwinkle number because it has an air of classic Chanel to it while maintaining it’s contemporary vibe. And who doesn’t love a little periwinkle.

For some reason I feel like this outfit is a great office dress without the midsection. So, to keep it fun, I paired it with this lemon clutch. Love the hard shell and the instant pop of color.
