Thank you to Find Your Influence for sponsoring this post.
One of the highlights of my summer was the opportunity to speak at the Create & Cultivate conference. My panel was about the business behind blogging. Since my day job is in finance, this was something that I was so excited to offer some perspective on! After my panel, I led 4 mentor sessions where attendees asked me for advice. One of the most popular questions was how to connect with brands. So, I’ll explain one way!
As the popularity of blogging has increased, the industry has advanced quite a bit. There are many ways to earn an income from blogging – affiliate links, direct sponsorships, ads. I personally love working directly with brands. Before I explain more, I only work with brands that I truly believe in. I would never recommend something to you guys that I didn’t use myself! And I’m grateful that I can be that selective about my partnerships!
Some collaborations are arranged directly over email (whether you are pitching or the brand is pitching to you) but a lot are through various platforms. Platforms are easier for the brand because they act as a middleman to help the brand narrow down the list of influencers and even manage the entire campaign. There are a LOT of platforms that connect brands and bloggers out there. And they all offer different things.
One of the platforms I’ve worked with the longest is called Find Your Influence. I really like the platform itself and the quality of brands is a step above. My favorite brand collaborations have been with Zappos and Chase Bank! I love both brands! The team at Find Your Influence is extremely organized and easy to work with. They are with you every step of the way to make sure that you’re delivering the best content for the brand. I feel like they just get it which is so important. The pay is also competitive which as an influencer (and an influencer that works in finance!), I appreciate greatly. Every brand collaboration I’ve worked on with Find Your Influence has truly felt like a partnership which is how it should be.
So who can join Find Your Influence? Anyone! I’d recommend signing up now because Q4 is usually a busy time for collaborations! It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been blogging or how many followers you have, you are eligible for campaigns! You also don’t have to be exclusive to Find Your Influence so there’s nothing to lose! They will email you with new campaigns or surveys as well so you don’t have to remember to check the platform every day. All in all, it’s one of the best tools if you’re trying to turn your blog into a business.
Do you have a favorite blogging platform? Have you tried Find Your Influence? How to you get most of your brand collaborations?
