Grades of Grey

After snagging this faux fur vest on Hautelook a couple of weeks ago, I was inspired to try one of those grey on grey looks that I’ve been admiring lately on Pinterest. I love mixing textures – fur, snake print, geometric shapes – so that kept the ensemble dynamic yet monochromatic. The femininity of the soft fur paired with the ruggedness of the ripped jeans felt just right to me. My life has been full of juxtapositions (I mean, I’m a financial analyst addicted to fashion) and I’ve found that opposites often enhance each other just like the adage “opposites attract”!

Also, I’ve never owned a vest before and I fully intend to experiment with them this winter because they do (surprisingly) keep you warm. As you can see from the sunny photos, it’s still a bit early to break out the fur and coats here in Southern California but I can’t wait!
