Friday Five: 5 Off the Shoulder Tops Under $50

If Fridays weren’t already something to look forward to, this post just might be. We’ve all see trends for spring. Whether it’s online, on the street, or through a good old fashioned magazine, it’s no surprise that off the shoulder tops are everywhere. I love this cut because it shows that shoulders can be sexy. Move over cleavage! Although, I have none anyway…

Today’s post rounds up my favorite off the shoulder tops. But I didn’t just stop there. I made sure that each one was under $50. Trending and on budget? That means you can buy two, right? At least that seems to be my mentality all too often!

1. The cold shoulder. I had a really hard time picking between this ruffled pink one and this draping red one. So, I picked both. They’re also both $35 and available in multiple colors. Time to stock up! The cold shoulder first made its debut last year and it’s holding strong through spring! Both tops would make great date night outfits when paired with your skinny jeans and comfy wedges.

2. The bright color. It’s been raining for the last week in Chicago so it’s no wonder that I’m drawn to colorful tops! This sunny summer yellow ($48) is such a perfect shade and I love how this blush pink one ($25) falls. Both are so easy to wear with jean short and your favorite summer sandals.

3. The statement sleeve ($45). Who doesn’t want to feel like a Disney princess with some fancy sleeves? I loved the cute little bow on this navy top. The scrunched hem also helps keep this one in place. It would go so well with white skinny jeans and some strappy heels!

4. Bohemian chic ($50). With long flowy sleeves and a loose fit, this white OTS reminds me of something you’d find at Free People. But without the expensive price tag. Although, the button down top ($47) I’m wearing above happens to be on sale AND is by Free People. So maybe that’s the way to go. Both white tops are a great choice when it comes to finding that piece you can throw on with anything.

5. The bodysuit ($35). The ruffle on this one caught my eye first. Then, I read the word “bodysuit” only to have my heart sink. Any tall girl knows what I’m talking about. While the bodysuit trend can be so freaking cute, it doesn’t physically work for anyone with a long torso or anyone that’s tall (unless you have a model body… which I don’t). So, on this one, I’ll admire from a distance and let all you normal sized girls enjoy! I love the way this one is styled with jean shorts!
