Flowers in Her Hair

A super short post today because it’s 11PM and I just got home from the Forever Unique Fall 2015/Spring 2016 preview, polishing off the remaining pieces of Matt’s jalapeno cheese because no one ever eats at those events so I’m starving! I’m really proud of the fact this cheese lasted 4 days because I can do some serious work on those Trader Joe’s Artisan cheese blocks.

Matt and I shot these photos in Belize (surprise, surprise) on our way to breakfast. The sun rises ridiculously early so there was plenty of light to shoot. I’m totally obsessed with these Free People shorts because the fit is incredible. I have a pretty strong hatred of all shorts (like 1% of the population looks good in them) but the high waist and wide leg made for a winning combination. Plus, with temps in the 80s coming at you by 7am, lace crop tops are about the maximum fabric you’re willing to put on your body.

I guess I should also do a nod to the post title – I saw this shot on Instagram of a girl who had braided flowers into her hair so when the resort put flowers all over our bed, I deemed it the perfect opportunity to try it. I just chopped off 6 inches of my hair though and the flowers did NOT stay put without bobby pins so I didn’t feel nearly as flawlessly bohemian as the girl in the photo but whatevs.
