Happy Friday! Today’s post is the first from our honeymoon in Bali! If you haven’t been following along on Instagram, it should give you a glimpse of this beautiful place. As with most of us, I dread packing and wait until the very last minute. I mean I was picking up a few more pairs of sandals (here, here, and here – all on major sale!) an hour before we left for the airport!
One thing I did plan ahead for was eyelash extensions. In general, I’m a girl about minimal makeup (if any) and when I do wear it, I love the natural look. Post getting LASIK early in the year (if you have any questions about it, email me!), I’ve been uber hesitant to put on mascara because it’s tough to take off without rubbing your eye (which you can’t do). So, I went to my girl Mikki Bey for eyelash extensions. She did my lashes years ago and I remembered hitting it off with her like we were besties. Sure enough, it was like no time had passed. It was a lash session and therapist all in one!
So far, I’ve loved them! No mascara needed and I’ve just been putting on a bit of my favorite tinted moisturizer before heading out the door. Lash extensions embody every “I woke up like this” meme there is because… I literally woke up like this. And you know it’s seriously good if I’m foregoing my sunnies to shoot. See below for the before and after so get a sense for the magic Mikki can work on your lashes! I’ve never felt more beautiful (with less effort) and your honeymoon is the perfect time for that.
PS. The last photo is from when Matt and I walked along the beach at sunset – we usually aren’t into such romantic things (probably because we always seem to be with other people) but it was a really lovely moment. And a gorgeous view as well!

I am still too scared to do lash extensions but you are so making me excited to do it! If you still haven’t – you got less than 24 hours to join this huge GIVEAWAY I am hosting for THE KEWL SHOP where a $150 dress value is at stake!

I have had mine done several times and really like them, but it was a bit expensive for me to do continually.
