Moving to Chicago was a huge adjustment on so many fronts. The city, the people, and the weather to name a few. There were things I never had to think about before that I now think about every day! One of those is my skin. Specifically, dry skin. Everywhere. Read between the lines here, people!
I feel like every patch of me transformed into a crocodile-esque version of myself within 2 weeks of the move. My routine had stayed the same, I just had the weather to thank for that. One of those areas was my scalp. While “dandruff” has never been one of my issues (thankfully), my scalp has definitely been extremely dry. I cringe at the thought of having embarrassing flakes so I got ahead of things. I tried Dove Hair’s new DermaCare Scalp series to make sure I never had to deal with that!
While I’m working to improve the strength of my hair (after a bad dye job), both the DermaCare Scalp Pure Daily Care 2in1 Shampoo and Conditioner and DermaCare Scalp Invigorating Mint 2in1 Shampoo and Conditioner, help to nourish my hair. I’ve definitely been guilty of using 2 rounds of conditioner while in the shower but haven’t felt the need with either of these products. My personal favorite is the mint scent. Something about mint always makes me feel just a little bit cleaner and more refreshed. It also soothes your scalp. I’ve found that my loose waves tend to come out a little looser too for that beachy summer vibe too! Added bonus!
