December Instagram Round Up (10 Outfits)

So, I’m a little late in writing this post but here are the top 10 outfits from Instagram in December! Y’all loved this fringe scarf (in multiple colors) and over the knee boots have a huge place in your hearts too! December was crazy as to be expected. With my 12 days of giving series, the holidays, and finally, a trip to Thailand, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still recovering. So, forgive me for not getting this round up to you before now. But hey, it’s here and all 10 looks are shoppable with similar options where sizes are limited! Enjoy!

The first look above is one of my absolute favorites! As I mentioned, that fringe scarf is amazing and I own it in 3 colors. It’s surprisingly warm for Free People and I wear it on my walks to work here in Chicago. Of course, my love for these Hunter Boots in green continues. While green might not seem like your first choice, it goes with a ton of things. Not convinced? I know that winter just started but it seems like we all are dreaming of a warm weather getaway! This blue maxi is on super sale right now and it’s one of the most comfortable dresses I own. It’s great for long flights or car rides and also makes for such a beautiful beachy outfit. Our rendezvous with warm weather in Thailand came to an abrupt end when we got off the plane at O’Hare to -7 degree temperatures last week. What a reality check! I’m already planning where we should go next to survive the rest of winter. Any recommendations? Let me know in the comments below!

More dreams of summer here! This black bikini is super flattering and on sale. It made my list of the most flattering bikinis for girls with hips last summer and I stand by that. Since it’s the middle of winter, I didn’t want to invest in a whole new suit so this one worked perfectly!

Black and tan is one of those combinations that will never get old. Who doesn’t love a LBD with a lace up detail? Plus, this dress is male approved. Matt told me I looked like Kim Kardashian wearing this and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t a bad thing. That’s probably the first time he’s mentioned Kim K. in a positive way, come to think of it. Work what you got, right?

I think this outfit was the most clicked of the entire month! It’s such a pretty neutral look and the best part is this dress is under $100 and fully stocked in all sizes. It’s got the cutest little fit and flare shape and the fabric is ultra soft. That makes it really easy to layer with fur vests, scarves, and even over a pair of your favorite leggings. It could easily transition into spring with a pair of flat booties or even sandals if the temperature permits!

I feel like it’s so rare to see white coats. Understandably, they can get dirty. I know every time I wear white, I’m bound to spill on it. Thank heavens for Tide-To-Go pens. However, I do love wearing white outerwear. There is something so magical about winter whites plus they go with just about everything!

This was my personal favorite look from December! I’m a huge lover of dresses and this Temperley London number was just so stunning. If you need a super cute Valentine’s Day dress, start looking now! Within the first 3 months of 2017, I’m already using them for a bachelorette party, a bridal shower, and a wedding! It’s an affordable alternative to buying a new outfit for every occasion and still allows you to feel like you’ve dressed your best.

Give me all the fuzziness! This cute weekend look was also a top pick in December. With our move to Chicago, I’m slowly learning you can never own too many white sweaters. They just seem to complete so many looks!

This lace up skirt is all about the va-va-voom. The suede texture is so unique and it’s dynamite with a pair of over the knee boots. If you’re not convinced that you need a pair of OTK boots by now, I’m giving up on you. I’ve heard a few people tell me they’re too short to wear them but trust me, they elongate your legs no matter what height you are! I actually have really stumpy legs (I’m all torso) but I’m hoping you can’t tell from my photos! I always try to dress to compliment my body type but OTKs are just one of those universally flattering items.

Finally, this black parka was a sign for me that fall was over in Chicago. Fortunately, I was okay with it. That meant that snow was around the corner and I’ve been loving all these layers I get to wear. That said, it is slightly annoying having to put on 4 things every time you go outside. It’s been a learning curve getting used to such a different climate! One of my tricks has been to layer flattering tops like this $42 peplum blouse under thicker coats (full post here). It helps me feel feminine so I don’t end up looking boxy and unattractive all the time. Does that make sense?
