Cotton Basics for Summer

Take this black tee. This was my favorite look as we travelled back to Atlanta from North Carolina. I was so pleasantly surprised at the cut of the shirt because it looked really flattering on. It was also so comfortable for a few hours spent in the car and considering it was 96 degrees outside! If you want to dress up your cotton, try pairing it with a chic black bag and some designer heels like I did with this grey dolman dress. I adore the way the fabric falls to give you that whimsical summery vibe. And because we’re all bound to take a vacation or two, I’m all about the maxi dress. It’s so easy to slip on some sandals to run errands or fancy it up for brunch with your favorite wedges. I’m dying to try knotting this one when we’re on the beach next and using it as a cover-up!

I’m not usually one to check the tag on clothing before I make a purchase but I noticed a trend when I took the time to browse through the pieces that survived my spring cleaning. The majority of them were made of cotton. The quality is just unbeatable, not to mention it’s so easy to care for.
