It was Sunday afternoon. Matt and I were finally squeezing in errands after a weekend of various events all over LA. For anyone familiar with the vast expanse known as Los Angeles (and the inevitable traffic), I know you feel my pain. There was nothing I wanted more than to be comfortable so I threw on these basics: an outfit which took me 2 minutes to put together and largely consisted of whatever was lying on my floor. Let me tell you. I got a compliment in every store I went into. This could very well be because they were trying to sell me stuff but it was enough to convince me this creation was blog worthy.
The key component in comfort is inevitably cotton. We’ve all heard the “cotton is the fabric of our lives” and it really is. With spring in full force on this side of the country, it was time to show a little leg with this Bella Luxx asymmetrical skirt. Blue, my second favorite shade behind grey/black/white, was a natural choice. To flatter curvy figure, I tied this LOLOelle Boutique sweater around my waist because I get cold pretty much as soon as the sun goes down. And in case you want one for yourself (which you do), check out my Instagram giveaway for $50 to shop their boutique! Tons of great basics mixed with unique pieces that are perfect for spring as well as some bomb festival style.
Pro tip (from a girl with the widest hips): the waist tie sweater look is killer when you need to play up your hourglass figure. It also happens to give you shape if you have zero curves. Despite that this was a trend circa 7th grade, it’s a win-win for all of us.
LOLOelle Boutique basics sweater | Rag & Bone white tank | Bella Luxx skirt (currently on sale in other colors!) | Burberry white bag | Michael Kors watch | Tom Ford wayfarer sunglasses | Marc by Marc Jacobs turnlock earrings | Michael Antonio white sandals
