Whenever I bring another candle into the house, Matt rolls his eyes. I’ve tried to stealthily order them online and place them in a corner but he always notices. I can’t help it! They make your home feel so cozy. My favorite candle of all time is Capri Blue’s Iridescent Jar Candle (seen here and here). It’s incredibly gorgeous and the smell is so good. So good. When I found out that Capri Blue was the official home fragrance of NYFW: The Shows, I had to have them!
Real talk, I’ve never been to NYFW. I know, I’m the worst blogger ever. I just haven’t been able to make it work especially since I used to live on the other side of the country. Now that I’m in Chicago (backstory here), maybe it will be in my future! Until then, I’m going to just keep decorating my home with these Gilded Muse candles by Capri Blue. The Muse collection is also really great for a spring refresh in your home with the pretty pastel color palette! Anyone who has browsed an Anthropologie, has seen Capri Blue’s Volcano candles. I love the tropical citrus scent (I just lit mine)!
Today’s outfit was inspired by the Smoked Clove and Tabac candle – a simple, black statement piece. I got this red dress in hopes that Chicago would warm up and this past weekend, it did (kinda)! But with love in the air, no winter is too cold to wear a flowy red dress, right? It’s supposed to be almost 50 on Valentine’s Day this week so I’m definitely breaking out a dress! Finally! I wanted to keep my outfit simple so I could accessorize with 2 statement pieces.
This calf hair nano crossbody is by one of my new favorite brands, Strathberry which I also posted with last week. The quality is just amazing! My rockstud sandals balanced out the bold black color. These shoes are definitely an investment piece but they are my favorite heels of all time. Incredibly comfortable and they come in handy for so many occasions. They have been my best friend when it comes to wedding season and date night because you can dance in them all night long thanks to the ankle strap. I love that the studs remind me of the facets on Capri Blue’s new candles too! If you didn’t notice from the photo above, I also got the Grapefruit and Prosecco Gilded Muse which smells so good. And it’s rose gold!

This is a gorgeous red dress!! I haven’t been able to make it to NYFW either but mainly because of personal choice. :) at least you’re closer so you will be able to maybe make it out someday!
