Button Front Skirt

The button front skirt came out of nowhere this season (and now I own 5 of them). I branched away from the mini skirts with this olive midi, knowing that fall is on its way. I mean, supposedly. If fall has colors that epitomize the season, it definitely has fabrics too. Corduroy is one of them. It reminds me of evenings snuggled under a blanket on the couch. Although, I don’t think I’ve ever worn corduroy while lounging on the sofa or owned a corduroy couch so I’m not sure why but you get it. It also reminds me of football. But that could be just because Matt was watching it as I wrote this post…

Fringe is another trend that is here to stay. As festival season winds down, the excitement over fringe hasn’t gone anywhere. As with most of my looks, I like to balance out the elements in what I have on. The fringe on the sweater plays off the fringe sandals in a perfectly complimentary way that avoids being too matchy matchy.

All in all, I was thrilled at how easy this outfit came together considering I picked it out online! It’s like I should be a professional online shopper or something.
