Goodbye coats, hello light sweaters. I’m off to Los Angeles on business for the rest of the weeks. It’s supposed to be 70 degrees when I land today! Meanwhile, I’m trying to figure out how to dress to go from 33 degree Chi to sunny SoCal. I’m thinking I’ll just freeze on my way to the airport. Does anyone else do that when they travel during winter?
Truth be told, I never thought I’d be excited to go back to LA. When I first announced our move to Chicago, I was beyond ready to get out! However, I’ve found myself missing a few things. Mostly, the beach and my favorite juice bar. It’s you’re on the west side (Santa Monica/Venice Beach), check out both.
The only other thing I miss is the weather. While I love the snow and this cozy scarf, this easy weekend look was about as layered as I had to get in LA. A light sweater with a fun lace up detail was all you’d need for a day out. That said, I’d totally wear this sweater through spring and even on some cooler summer nights. I love the sweater with a pair of cutoff jean shorts look. Now if only I could find the perfect shorts that make my legs look good, right? Since being by the beach can get windy especially at night, I always bring a light sweater with me on vacation. It also doubles as a pillow on the plane!
With that, I need to get back to packing. My flight leaves in 3 hours and I’ve got zero things in my suitcase. Of course. Anyone else a packing procrastinator?
lol yup always froze on the way to the airport when I lived in Chicago! Yay for heading to warmer weather and love that sweater!
