As I’ve aged, I’ve started to realize styles that work for my body and styles that definitely don’t. When it comes to looks that are borrowed from the boys, I have to be super careful. Balancing masculine pieces like this Riley & Coco blazer with more feminine pieces like a flared skirt, is the key to menswear inspired looks for me. If I’d had been a boy, I could have been a linebacker for the Texans. That’s football for those of you that don’t live with a sports fanatic like I do. I’m built pretty athletically so I rely on skirts (especially high waisted ones) to create that hourglass shape.
I love a good juxtaposition and this combo is the perfect girl meets boy of fashion. I think it goes without saying that this ‘Tomboy’ clutch is the perfect accessory for an outfit like this. Super affordable at 25% off right now, it’s an easy choice for this summer. It’s a statement you need to make because even the girliest of girls wants to be a tomboy sometimes!
