For my birthday, my mom got me this beautiful leather jacket which I immediately fell in love with! It helps that it was on my birthday/Christmas wishlist (as a December baby, I don’t actually mind combining). And I make my wishlists in Excel. It’s efficient, organized, and I’ve loathed Microsoft Word ever since my high school English teacher made me hate writing anything longer than a paragraph. I’ve been craving a leather jacket for months because of the edginess it can bring to an outfit. As a new blogger, I feel like a variety of pieces is key because it’s so easy to fall into a style rut.

Until this winter (which seems to be colder than I remember), I’d never really thought of investing in outerwear. With a trip to Chicago approaching, my once relaxed attitude toward winter has suddenly turned into panic. What do people wear in the snow!? How do people physically survive temperatures below 50?! My day trips to Big Bear definitely don’t qualify me to have an answer to this so if you have any tips, PLEASE help me figure out what to pack!
