Suede Matte Crayon | Leave Your Mark Crayon Box | Oil Free Moisturizer | Oil Free SPF | Moisturizing Tint | Phyto-Active Vitamin C+ | Daily Hydration+
I get a lot of questions on my lipsticks. I’m a lover of variety – sheers, bold reds, berry shades. But lately, I’ve been getting the most questions about the Suede Matte Crayon from Glo Skin Beauty. Here’s what you need to know about the brand!
I first was introduced to Glo Skin Beauty last year, about the same time by Leah of Eat Pray Wear Love. She swore by the brand and I love everything she does from fashion to beauty so I trusted her opinion! If you want her perspective on the brand, check out her post today with Glo Skin Beauty too! The first product I tried was actually this Suede Matte Crayon. It was such a favorite that I eventually tried more of their makeup and skincare. They have a full line and a ton of products!
But back to the Suede Matte Crayon. Y’all know I love a liquid lip but ever since the move to Chicago, I’ve found myself moving away from them. They’re just too drying for life in the Midwest (although I still use them from time to time). This crayon from Glo is a little creamier than a liquid lip (but not “creamy”) so it keeps your lips a little more moisturized. At first, I was skeptical at how long it would last but have been incredibly impressed. I’ve even gotten asked by people after I finish a dinner event or night out what I’m wearing because it stayed so well! My lipsticks always wear off in the corners of my mouth (and this one still does) but the rest of my lip still looks amazing and the corners are an easy touch up.
The colors and shades are also phenomenal. I own every single color because they are all good. One of the best nudes I’ve ever tried is ‘Demure’. I’ve worn it to work and gotten compliments from guys even!! My favorite bold is ‘Crimson’ for a gorgeous deep red. This is what I wear most nights out especially during winter and also for blog shoots. A fan favorite (AKA you guys!) is ‘Sorbet’. It’s a fun pop of puck that is bold but also fun. I love that when I’m wearing more colorful outfits or pink tones!
I recently tried their ‘Leave Your Mark’ box which has these lip crayons as well as glazes (I’d call these lip tints). The glazed are more subtle colors – not necessarily a gloss but more of a lip sheer. If you like variety, I’d definitely recommend trying this box. It ends up saving you 50%! There are 3 Suede Matte Crayons, 3 Cream Glaze Crayons, and 3 Cream Stay Shadow Sticks (these are for your eyes!) plus a pencil sharpener.
So let’s talk about their other products. Aside from lip products, they have a full line. Another one of my favorites is the Moisturizing Tint. It’s not too thick (no clogging of your pores) and contains SPF to protect your face. I wore this all summer long! They also have Oil Free SPF which I’m dying to try next summer (for now, I don’t expect to see sun in Chicago until June haha!)
On skincare (you guys know I love all things skincare so I had to mention it), I’ve been using their Oil Free Moisturizer since between Thanksgiving and it’s pretty good! I still drop my face oil into it (because face oil is a must have for every girl) but the Glo Skin Beauty moisturizer is a really good base for mixing the face oil. I’ve also started using the Phyto-Active Vitamin C+ and Daily Hydration+ but haven’t used them long enough to see a difference since I’ve been traveling so much! I’m hoping the Phyto-Active Vitamin C+ can reverse some of my signs of aging. It uses peptides and plant stem cells to repair and strengthen skin!
Overall, Glo Skin Beauty makes a ton of really great products and the ingredients are pretty good when it comes to toxicity. Read more about what to look out for on that front in this post! Also, look out for a giveaway over on Instagram tonight. I’m going to be picking 5 winners to get $100 of credit to their site!
