A few weeks back, I got a request to share the best date night tops. And, I get it. Dressing for date night is HARD! I don’t know if it’s age or being in a relationship for a certain point in time but I constantly find myself wondering what to wear on a night out. So, I sat down and did a little shopping specifically for this. Here are my favorite date night tops!
First, visualize the black top I’m wearing above with skinny jeans and over the knee boots. That is the perfect fall and winter date night outfit in my opinion. The top is made of cotton so it’s super soft but it’s black which automatically dresses it up a little bit. It comes in a could other colors but those look more casual to me. I also love the tie around the waist because it flatters you (which is what you want on date night)! It’s just cozy, comfortable, yet still sexy. You can also wear it with a lace bralette for a little something extra. Add a bold lip and some statement earrings and you’re set.
Second, figure out where you’re going on date night. If it’s something casual, you can usually get away with almost anything. I don’t really think guys care. If you’re stumped, here are some fall date night ideas! Which one is your favorite?

I also recently wore this $25 black tunic on date night with the Spanx leggings and it worked out really well! I wore the AE lace bralette underneath and still felt really comfortable! We ended up going to a country music concert so depending on where you’re going on your date, that might be an option too. I think we dress a lot more casually here in Chicago too compared to when we lived in LA! It’s nice but sometimes I miss dressing up for date night. I don’t have the pressure here to think about the best date night tops (for better or worse)!
