Bedroom Reveal with Havenly, Wayfair, and Joss & Main

So excited to share the rest of our bedroom design with y’all today (see here for part one)! It’s been a minute since I posted a sneak peek of the room design but I absolutely loved this process. And my husband definitely approves of the results. I teamed up with Havenly on this project – an online design service that takes care of creating a concept and facilitating all the steps through shipping the products! I totally expected to have to research the little detail pieces but Havenly went above and beyond to design TWO complete bedroom concepts!

When we first started out, my designer asked me to describe my style. I knew I wanted a grey bedroom because the color is ultra calming which is exactly what I want to feel when I’m falling asleep. It’s also my favorite color so duh. We discussed different styles – modern, classic, boho – and landed on the word “textural” which describes my style perfectly. I love mixing subtle patterns and prints but then balancing them with textured elements. Perfect example: these grey fur pillows from Wayfair (one, two, three) made the white pin tucked bedding pop.

After a few answers from me, the Havenly team went to work drafting up the vision for our bedroom. I had a few pieces already and the designers were great about incorporating those into the mock ups. It was so fun to see what they picked right down to the mirrored jewelry box and silver candle holders! I would have never remembered to get candle holders! They literally thought of every detail. After you receive your concepts from Havenly, you can pick and choose items from each. The best part? The inspiration is created with existing products in mind – it’s like having a Pinterest photo where you can shop every single thing. You don’t even have to go to multiple websites because you can just use Havenly to check out once you have the pieces you want!

One of my favorite pieces is this dove grey dresser because it’s beautiful, the quality is impeccable, and it’s totally functional. We found ours up on Joss & Main – they have the best curated shops full of pieces that give you both fashion and function. I love that the dresser has 8 drawers as well because storage is so important for us in a smaller apartment! Matt and I have been so impressed with Joss & Main products as we redecorate our home (more inspo in my office reveal)! Following the theme of storage, we adore our nightstands from Wayfair as well. Previously, we had tiny nightstands that didn’t offer nearly as much surface space and were honestly, pretty darn flimsy. College leftovers! It makes such a difference to be able to decorate the night stand with a pretty lamp or metallic picture frames instead of struggling to just find space for your iPhone! I really wanted to mix and match furniture (i.e. to avoid a matching set) and the shades of grey in the nightstand and dresser bring such a cozy design element to the room!

This crushed velvet pouf (also loving this white Mongolian fur version) has also proved extremely handy for me to drape my clothes on which annoys Matt to no end. Paired with the jacquard throw in soot, it makes this arm chair a place to snuggle up in (when it’s not covered in my wardrobe)! Another design element that I’m pretty obsessed with was Havenly’s idea to layer the rugs. This white faux fur rug is seriously the softest, silkiest thing and the contrast of textures with this jute chenille rug has every hint of elegance.

I can’t tell you how incredible it is to have a bedroom that I’m proud of! It almost makes you want to invite your company over to hang out in your bedroom. Almost. Now if only we lived in a home where we could get rid if these dark wood floors and paint the walls a soft dove grey! One day we will but for now, apartment living is a reality in LA!
