It’s been a few weeks since I first chatted about my new skincare routine with Colleen Rothschild so I thought I’d follow up with a final review noting the improvements I’ve seen in my skin!
The photo above was taken after about 3 weeks of following the regime I covered in my last post. I don’t have a before photo for a true comparison and I’m sorry about that. Honestly, I would never have allowed Matt to take a photo of me like this in daylight. Just like so many other girls, I’m not a fan of close up photos of myself. Seems weird to say as a blogger but it’s true. I can’t decide if aging has caused more imperfections or just made me more aware of them. Either way, they’re there and I’m not a fan.
After religiously using Colleen Rothschild for almost a month, I’ve noticed a few key improvements worth highlighting. First, the level of hydration in my skin is impeccable. Coming out of winter, I had so many awkward dry patches. While they weren’t life ending, they were annoying nonetheless and were often irritated by the products I had been using. The combination of the Vitamin C Treatment Complex and the face oil have worked to improve my skin around the clock. I cannot say enough good things about the face oil so if you haven’t picked it up yet, do it now. Buy one for yourself and one for your mom! You only need one pump per use (although sometimes I treat myself to 2 depending on the weather). After a month, I’ve only used about 1/3 of the bottle so it lasts for a long time. The Sheer Renewal Cream also helps with water loss which means my skin has been plumper in both look and feel!
Second, the balance of my skin tone has definitely improved. I have both pink and yellow tones on my face in different spots. It’s bizarre. I haven’t changed my makeup routine or the amount of product I use but it looks like I have. Two pumps of foundation (applied all over my face including my eyelids) plus a quick swipe of mascara and I’m good to go Monday through Friday. Thank you Extreme Recovery Cream!
Lastly, breakouts. Whether you’ve struggled with acne your entire life or just get the occasional pimple around that time of the month, it’s never fun. I’m super fortunate to fall into the latter category but this was the first month that I can remember that I didn’t have a breakout of any kind. Literally, nothing. I’ve been using that charcoal Konjac scrubber I mentioned last time with the Balancing Gel Cleanser (which protects your skin’s pH) in the morning to cleanse after my workouts. In the evening, I gently wash away the day’s makeup with the Radiant Cleansing Balm. The balm does an incredible job of removing everything from my face. In the past, I’ve been known to wash my face twice to achieve these results but haven’t felt the need here. Even after a month, I’m still amazed at how my face doesn’t feel like the Sahara after I dry it off every night. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I love products that actually work!
PS. Is it weird that I’m addicted to the smell of these products too? It’s not overly feminine and provides a little extra something to look forward to! Remember that all of these products are currently on sale in honor of Mother’s Day and you can get an extra 20% off with code VISIONS20!
