April Instagram Round Up (14 Outfits)

Happy first day of May! As y’all know, the end of every month gets me really excited because that means it’s time for an Instagram round up. If you’re not already following me on Insta, come say hi! I love that it’s real time and I’m slowly getting more into IG stories since y’all have requested more of it. I love answering everyone’s DMs and getting feedback on what to post about too. It’s a lot less intimidating than leaving a comment or emailing :) So literally, come say hi!

With that, let’s get straight into the most popular outfits from the month of April!

Who doesn’t love a LWD this time of year? Whether you’re a bride to be or just trying to show off that tan, it’s the perfect thing to wear. And psst, no one needs to know if your tan came from a bottle #noshame. This exact dress (also comes in pink) is $45 but I linked to a few more great ones also at that price point. Seriously, these are steals! It’s so easy to pair with basic sandals (also linked to a few faves above) or a cute summer wedge!

I think this dress has been in every round up for the past 3 months! Yes, it’s a total beauty! It’s only available in a gorgeous hunter green right now. But don’t worry, if you’re in love with pink. The perfect shirtdress for spring! How gorgeous are these blue stripes? I like that you can take this outfit out for the weekend (as styled here) or dress it up with classic nude pumps for the office. This photo was right after I got my hair chopped off! I’ve been struggling from a bad dye job a year ago and it was time to do something a little more drastic than the regular trim. Lesson learned. Never go to a new colorist because it’s so easy to do bad color. I’m currently terrified to find a new colorist in Chicago so I’m just letting my blonde grow out! Anyway, this dress is sold out but I linked to a bunch of great comfy and affordable options above!

In case you missed it, Matt and I did a quick weekend trip to Miami mid month. I needed to escape the weather. Coming off 48 hours of thunderstorms in Chicago, I’m thinking another trip is needed. I miss LA weather! This pretty leopard print dress was my outfit for our date night out in South Beach! We ate at the Peruvian restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental and would highly recommend it! Great ambiance and the prices were reasonable.

Another pretty floral cold shoulder! This buttery yellow dress is under $100 and so perfect for spring. Also found this print in a midi dress version. Check out the original post if you are thinking about getting a Roomba too – I randomly talked about the one we got there! I’m wearing my favorite wedges with the cutest little ankle strap as well. Carrying flowers around really seemed to be my thing this month. I guess I was trying to make up for the lack of flowers growing in the city of Chicago!

This has me getting excited for the vacations we have coming up. As a SoCal girl, I’m seriously missing the beach. Matt tried to tell me that there is a beach by the lake here in Chicago. However, fat chance that it is going to be warm enough anytime soon to actually go to it. Seriously, not the same. I love this rainbow top because it’s just an easy breezy thing to wear when you’re out by the ocean all day!

This post was the most liked post of the entire month! It’s so surprising to me because in the post I actually wrote about one of my favorite skincare tips. I’m very passionate about this tip too. It’s why you need to be using face oil and it will turn your skin around! I also linked to the mirror and rug above as well as my outfit! This outfit is just fun. As a gal with a long torso, crop tops are my best friend. If something isn’t a crop top, my torso makes it one. And flamingos are such a fun print right now that this outfit just gives me all the spring feels. We shot this at Wynwood Walls in Miami. The colorful backdrops were so gorgeous! Another LWD! This one is selling out fast so I linked to it at Rebecca Minkoff (already sold out on Nordstrom)! In case you want to stick with Nordstrom though, I linked to some other white dresses with cute little details like a ruffle. I also love these wrap around ankle wedges! I can see myself wearing them with almost everything in summer.

This pleated lace dress is one of my favorite things to twirl in. I had so many of you DM me on Instagram to ask where it’s from so see above! I also linked to my mirror which I know is a hot item too. It’s a bit of an investment but oh so worth it!

Last month, when I asked for post ideas, y’all requested more work appropriate looks. Fair enough. This was one of my first stabs at that with this gorgeous pleated skirt. It can go with so many things and is 40% off. I also love the shirt (sold out but now in black) because it has the same story. It can also be paired with so many bottoms. White jeans, regular denim, pastel colored bottoms – all of the above!

We visited Minneapolis last month to see a few friends. While I never thought it would be on my list of places to go, I starred this botanical garden on Google Maps just in case. So when our plans changed to include this weekend getaway, I seized the opportunity to visit. If you’re ever in the area make sure you visit the Como Conservatory! It was stunning! This red floral dress was the perfect piece to explore in!

Of course we were really visiting so Matt could check off another baseball stadium from his list. If you’ve been watching my snaps, you’ve been seeing how much baseball seems to come into our lives.
