Let’s just level really quick. I’m a week out from my wedding day and with all the texts, emails, and phone calls about details, I am ready a night out. Slipping on a skirt and a pair of sexy heels for a little wining and dining sounds like exactly what the doctor (aka myself) ordered. This outfit is perfect for just that. A midi skirt and a tasteful top when an oh-so girly bow makes you feminine in all the right ways. There’s no need for a mini skirt when you’ve already got your man, right? Just kidding. There is – just save it for the club or at least not a classy restaurant.
I fell in love with this musical note skirt as a nod to my childhood (I played the piano, competitively, since I was 3 – total nerd)! Black and white is so easy to match with despite the print but I kept it simple with this top. Always at a loss for how to tie the bows on this type of top, I just went with whatever I managed to create on my first shot. It worked. I totally could have steamed out the crease but hey, I was working out of a suitcase and I have yet to master the art of packing. I just wish they made clothing in materials that didn’t wrinkle! Like those men’s pants from Banana Republic or Walmart – why do they get all the good stuff? They don’t even care what they look like most of the time!
