In last week’s post, I rounded up the 9 best sweaters for fall. I also threw in the worst because as someone who doesn’t have the conventionally “perfect” figure, I like to keep it real. Since this week’s theme is accessories, I thought it was fitting to round up the best scarves and wraps for you guys. The best part? They’re all under $100.
Before we get to my favorites, let me tell you why I love scarves. They are literally my favorite accessory. They’re as easy to throw on as a necklace, add a great pop of color when needed, but also offer you something more: survival. Yes, they are the key to how this California girl survived her first winter in Chicago! So much so that my coworker asked me (innocently), why I always wear blankets to the office in January of last year. A little taken aback, I had to explain that it was just this $48 fringe scarf that was in fact, a scarf. Even if you’re not in a cold climate, scarves are the perfect (less clunky) solution to an overly air conditioned office.
Here are my favorite scarves for fall and why I love them! Yes, they’re all so good that I couldn’t narrow the list down to 9 this week.
Now for the rest of my outfit, I finally caved and picked up this thermal in burgundy. I swear this is a slippery slope because I just saw they had come out with a new lavender color as well that I can’t stop thinking about. If you don’t own it in at least one color (there are 8 colors total), do yourself a favor and grab it. Size down though! It’s just one of those really cozy tops you can snuggle on the couch in but also wear out on the weekend.
This pocket cardigan is another Madewell find that I made Matt feel when we were walking to shoot this because it’s so soft. Also, I love anything in the color “oatmeal”. Even if it looks like ivory, white, or beige, calling it oatmeal makes it seem so much chicer to me. If I had found it before now, it would have definitely made my list for the 9 best sweaters so consider this a bonus!

I love scarves… I’m just so sad that here in Miami, I can’t wear them as much as I’d like to. When I lived in New York, I LIVED in a black cashmere pashmina…just loved it so much. Now, I crank up my a/c and wear it at my computer LOL.
