I’ve heard so much about thrifting – and the amazing finds – that I finally decided to give it a try. There are so many amazing spots to thrift shop but one that is popular in Chicago is called Unique Thrift. There are a couple throughout Chicago so I wanted to see what I could find!
Budget friendly finds are something that I always love sharing with you guys. It’s not just about shopping at the big brand stores – I want to share things for every budget, no matter where you are in life! There’s nothing that make me happier than being a helpful resource and suggesting new ideas (like thrifting) as a way to find some amazing deals. What I always liked the idea of most about thrift store shopping was the uniqueness of each piece. The Unique Thrift in Chicago was huge and has everything from women’s sweaters to costumes to winter boots.
If you haven’t heard of Unique Thrift, it’s the same brand as Savers and Value Village! They have multiple brands depending on where you live!
So, how did my first visit to Unique Thrift go? Well, I got this entire outfit! Including UGGs (that I’ve been eyeing for only $14. They’re usually 10 times that much! I could not believe how big the store was especially in a big city. Usually, there are limited options but the selection was unreal – they probably had over 100,000 items! My shirt, burgundy sweater, and bag were under $10. The average piece is probably $7 based on what I saw browsing in the store!
If you’re looking for new fall styles, the store is organized by category. They have 2 huge aisles of sweaters so there are a lot of options and everything is very well organized. That was amazing because messy stores can be overwhelming! They also carried a lot of brands that I recognized like J.Crew, Old Navy, and Forever 21! If you’re looking for a fall wardrobe refresh, you should try thrifting because you get so much mileage for your dollar!
Have you ever been thrift store shopping? Have you been to Savers or Unique Thrift?
