Those Red Heels Though

Is it too early to be thinking about Valentine’s Day? If it is, too bad. When you see a pair of red heels this cute, it’s a little difficult not to. I, for one, can’t see red pumps without visions of date nights popping into my head – especially a pair with lace up details like this. It’s the color of love and the day to celebrate is right around the corner. My belief is that it’s never too early to start thinking about your outfit for special occasions like this.

Let’s be honest, I didn’t always love Valentine’s Day. I can recall a few of my more single years where I dreaded the holiday. A group of my girlfriends and I would always celebrate together which in hindsight, made for some of the best Valentine’s Day memories! Matt, when you read this, know that ours are still at the top though ;)

Whether you’re single or committed, it’s always fun to get dressed up just a little. I love this off the shoulder little black dress because it’s super flirty. Read: it’s twirlable. Anyone who follows me on Instagram knows my obsession with twirling too. It’s also $35 so it’s super cost effective which means you can splurge on a gift for your guy (or for yourself which is sometimes indirectly a gift for him). And maybe you don’t have a diamond on your finger yet but I’d say these diamond shaped earrings are a fine substitute. Plus, just remember that marriage isn’t all glamour and glory. Single ladies, you could be writing a blog post while you’re husband is watching an animated Batman movie… Enjoy your freedom, babes!

If you’re still looking for the perfect red lip, I’ve found it. This Hourglass opaque rouge lipstick in Maven is the bomb. I have been using that plus their lip pencil (in the same shade) to define my lips lately! Warning: it will stay on all day.
