Summer Skin with Aveeno

I’m all about moisturizing. I can’t say it enough. It’s a huge part of my skincare routine and I moisturize religiously! When it comes to favorite products, I’m a huge loyalist. Aveeno has always been one of my favorite brands because of the simplicity and straightforwardness of their products. No fuss, just great products that actually work without irritating my skin (huge bonus).

I took this Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion with SPF 30 with us to Palm Springs 2 weekends ago and it was the perfect addition to our weekend plans. It travelled so easily in this container and it actually smelled good! I’ve found sunscreen to be pretty greasy most of the time and it usually leaves me feeling like I need a shower immediately. However, I really liked how lightweight this formula is. It was almost like I was putting on lotion after a shower and just happened to also be protecting my skin from the 110 degree heat too!

Speaking of lotion, I also brought along this Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration Lotion. It lives up to it’s claim of being sheer which I love for summer! That’s a huge plus for me because I can’t stand putting on lotion in the morning and then struggling to slip into my jeans because the lotion is so thick. It’s truly a great product for everyday use this time of year.

In case you’re looking for a place to stay next time you visit Palm Springs, we stayed at The Ritz in Rancho Mirage. It’s a little off the beaten path which means it doesn’t come with as high of a price tag as The Parker or The Ace (both very trendy spots). If you’ve never been to Palm Springs, everything is really spread out so you end up driving everywhere you go. That means, it’s not as necessary to stay central. The Ritz was a great compromise for us as we were just looking for a little weekend getaway. Plus, we were greeted with a candy bar which is never a bad thing!
