With tomorrow being the summer solstice, it’s time to talk about summer looks! Matt and I had a busy weekend and I found myself wondering what to wear. Barely coming out of winter, I had forgotten what people wear in warmth! But with a weekend of moderately good weather (aka some sun + a severe thunderstorm warning), I realized I needed to start thinking about this! And yes, to the people in the Midwest, thunderstorms are “moderately good”. You can’t be picky here! As long as your bones are not freezing, it’s good.
My love of maxi dresses isn’t news but I found myself pulling out all my maxis last weekend. Taste of Randolph? Surprise party in Wicker Park? Rosé with the girls? I went into Monday thinking that I really need more maxis if I’m going to survive. I put this olive dress that’s only $58 into the rotation on Saturday afternoon but have my eye on the striped blue too. You can never have enough things with pockets, right?
So while I was fixing my problem of not having enough dresses (aka shopping) last night, I rounded up a few of my favorites that won’t break the bank. Here they are:
