Colleen Rothschild Discovery Kit (use VOGUE20 for 20% off regularly priced items!) | Pink Diamond Embroidered Top | Floral Embroidered Skinny Jeans
If I learned anything from my first fall in Chicago, it’s that cooler weather affects you way more than you think. Sure, it’s an excuse to wear adorable booties and suede moto jackets. But I also saw about one hundred changes in my skin and hair. And not for the better. So this year, I’m getting ahead of things.
How? Having a skincare routine that’s ready to go. While I’ve talked about my skincare routine before, I’m constantly swapping out products and searching for things that work better. There are so many “average” beauty products on the market that don’t really do anything for me. The hardest part of testing products is that it just takes time. It’s not like a top where you can try it on and know if it fits instantly. It takes at least a few days if not 2 weeks to really see the changes in your skin. It’s frustrating, but I’m on a mission to find the best.
Since I wrote that post, I’ve been using Colleen Rothschild’s Sheer Renewal Cream every night. It’s an extremely lightweight formula that keeps your skin perfectly moisturized during spring and summer. It’s also formulated without a lot of those toxic ingredients that I talked about here. Y’all know my approach to beauty is to try to find the safest products possible but also balance that with products that work! While it has been great for the last few months, I am likely going to switch this to being my morning moisturizer when it gets colder.
Regardless of what moisturizer I use, I always put face oil into it every night. I wrote about why you need to be using face oil here. It is a game changer. I’ve been trying tons of face oils and Colleen Rothschild’s is right there at the top! For instructions on how to use it, read that post!
During the winter, I like to use a really thick hydrating moisturizer at night because my skin gets so incredibly dry. The Colleen Rothschild Discovery Kit I just got has their Extreme Recovery Cream which is great for skin that really needs moisture. The Radiant Cleansing Balm does a really amazing job at removing makeup too. If you’re new to cleansing balms, they are a bit like thick oils that kind of just melt off your makeup. I prefer to use them over a sudsing cleanser because the process is a little less abrasive on your skin.
I love the Discovery Kit for people that are new to Colleen Rothschild because it has the perfect amount of product to give you an idea of what it will do for your skin. It’s a great way to sample a lot of products without having to deal with those Sephora sized samples. PS. Who can tell anything from one use?
I’ve only found a few collections like the Discovery Kit that have the value they claim to have. If you’re looking for a refresh on your skincare routine, this is a great chance to do so! Lots of great products that also double as the perfect travel size products (complete with a travel bag). All of their best sellers are on sale this week too! You can also get all full priced items for 20% off with code VOGUE20.
If you’re new to Colleen Rothschild, I’ve written about them before here and you can read up on the brand here.
