For all the love I have for my work OOTDs, sometimes you just want to be comfortable. Personally, I find dresses to be one of the most comfortable items in my closet. Their ability to hide almost everything makes them my favorite time and time again. And when you own so many, you are always looking for unique fun details on your next dress. Like this $39 ruffle sleeve shift from Nordstrom.

The fun sleeves trend seems like it’s here to stay, at least for another season. And the next season is fall!! I usually approach with caution. With broad shoulders, huge puffy sleeves have the potential to look terribly wrong. It’s bad. But every now and then, I find an option that doesn’t make me look like I’m on the Bears’ defense.

This shift dress is also made of a medium weight sweatpants material. I love sweatpants but at this point in my life, I’m not about to wear them to brunch. This dress is a compromise I’ll happily make. Again, it has that magic cut that covers anything in your middle section that you’re not feeling 100% about! You could easily pair this dress with tights on a colder day!

The pink and grey combo has been one of my favorites for a long time. Also seen here and here, it’s my favorite neutral palette. This pink bag was one of my favorite purchases from this year’s NSale and it’s still holding its structure so well. The fabric is very sturdy which means it’s not as likely to stain. And/or it can easily be wiped off. Living in a big city, you never know what kind of dirt is lying around so I’ve been keeping my eye out for items like this!

For fall, you could also top this outfit off with a jean jacket and some cute booties! I love a transitional item that can be worn for more than one season. At this price point, you also feel like you’re getting a major deal since you can wear it for so long. I always like to shop the Nordstrom site and filter on price to find these affordable steals. Their filters make online shopping there one of the least painful experiences. This is the reason I always shop online!!
