It’s been raining for 5 days straight in Chicago. I mean, seriously? Right about now I am reconsidering this whole move to the Midwest. This is miserable! Even native Chicagoans are saying this is miserable! That’s how bad it is! What makes this more annoying is that I was dying to wear this dress by Billabong!

Matt and I went out in between thunderstorms on Monday to take a few photos of this polka dot maxi dress. How cute are the ruffled straps and the bow tie in the back? And it’s super comfy. We were literally in between storms because it started to rain mid shoot! Hence the crazy hair. We had to hang out at the Langham Hotel while we waited for it to pass. Which it didn’t… So we stole one last shot in the rain before giving up for the night. This weather is just intentionally testing me!! The sun came out yesterday as I was walking in to the office. I mean, could the timing be any worse?

What makes it tougher is how cute all the Billabong dresses are! I just want to wear them! I was looking through their website and found a lot of great summer and beach vacation options. I’m wearing this pretty floral dress in tomorrow’s post so get ready. It’s so flowy and gorgeous. Matt told me that he wished I dressed like that every day which is a great sign. I love that everything from Billabong is really affordable too.

These braided sandals are also by Billabong and are only $27! Such a steal! They’re really lightweight so they would be great for a beach day. Also, really good for vacation since they don’t take up much weight in your suitcase! I always find that my shoes are a lot heavier than anything else but if you brought a couple of these sandals (they come in multiple colors), no sweat. I saw so many cute pairs of shoes it is hard to pick a favorite! Just might have to treat myself to a shopping spree before our vacation at the end of the month…

  13. Polka Dots are such a great spring pattern! I think I get so wrapped up in all the floral prints that I forget that there are other patterns out there haha! I love this polka dot dress on you and how fun it looks for summer!
