OOTD 1.8.2018: Black Dress and Brown Riding Boots

This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve worn lately! It’s such a perfect work to weekend look. If you’ve been following along for awhile, I am constantly looking for pieces that can be styled for work and also the weekend. There’s nothing worse than walking into your closet and finding you invested all your money in work outfits! Or vice versa! I love it when you can find versatile pieces!

This little black dress is one of those closet staples you’d wear over and over for years. It’s a easy basic that you can style with riding boots, booties, or your favorite pair of pumps. I ordered my regular size for a looser fit – I hate when swing dresses cling! I also wanted to be able to belt it like this! It’s currently back at full price but I wore another LBD last Friday that is on major sale! I also rounded up my favorite workwear pieces that are on sale here. And just in case you’re looking for some more LBD steal, all of the below are under $80 and great for the office!

Riding boots are my favorite for fall and winter. I love how you can wear them with dresses and denim. There’s just something so timeless about a pair of good riding boots. Mine are by Tory Burch from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and are out of stock so I found a pair I really really love (and they’re cheaper) here. I’ve heard amazing things about Frye (they last longer than Tory Burch boots) and I really love the distressed look of those. I always like to layer thick chunky socks under my boots this time of year to keep warm!
