last year's look recreated with this season's pieces:
After I rounded up my picks from this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I read through the post and thought it seems like a lot of things. It was part because I linked multiple colors of the same thing (I always feel like it helps to see the quality and fit when you browse through those photos if shopping online). And part because, I had made sure to include budget friendly options given I know that finances may be tight in light of COVID. So, I really wanted to do this post by category so it was easier to see that you can get the same look at various price points! For example, you don't need every single boot linked in my roundup! Maybe you shop the "save" column for a few more trendy pieces and then "splurge" column for the essentials you tend to wear the most. Hope that makes sense and makes sense!
As always, I do earn a small commission off purchases so using my links and my posts is always appreciated! I also just want to make it as easy as possible for those of y'all shopping this year's sale!
BOOTS
When it comes to boots, I tend to purchase in the "splurge" column knowing how much I wear booties and boots during fall and winter. I love to be able to wear my boots season after season which I've been more successful at sticking with brands like Marc Fisher. They make my favorite boots in the sale here and here. I do love the occasional Stuart Weitzman for things like black over the knee boots and got so much wear out of mine in Chicago, both to work and on the weekend. However, there are a few budget friendly options in this year's NSale worth noting here and here!

SWEATERS
When it comes to sweaters, I mix and match with save and splurge! The splurge worth pieces are usually Barefoot Dreams cardigans (because the material is literally heaven on earth). This year the 2 Vince sweaters (here and here) also caught my eye because I'm looking for pieces that will last me multiple seasons!

SHOES
Some of the saves in this column like the Remi mule were more than enough for me last year! I'm going to rebuy this year! Also, there were a LOT of sneakers under $50 that aren't in this post because they were such a good deal and I didn't see a "splurge" version so make sure to check out this post!

JACKETS
Confession, I actually really love this BB Dakota coat as a save option! I'd recommend splurging on the real suede for the Blank NYC jackets (I usually size up a size) though - worth it for the quality!

ACTIVEWEAR
I know there are a lot of Zella fans out there for activewear on a budget (their sports bras this year are AMAZING)! And for those that aren't, there are some Alo Yoga and Sweaty Betty alternatives!

Although, I'm firm believer than everyone should add a Barefoot Dreams blanket to their cart before anything else (they're selling out pretty quick!), here are a few fun save vs. splurge options!
