Rounding out the week with one of my absolute favorite things to do: mix and match shades of grey. Actually, I love mix and matching shades of anything. I snagged this Anthropologie windowpane skirt during their massive sale over the holidays and can’t wait to wear it throughout spring. It’s grey so it’s almost like a pastel and you’re supposed to wear pastels in spring, right? The fit and flare shape is one of my favorites but that’s no secret. I love it for its flattering nature and how perfectly it pairs with so many things. One of those things is the crop top which I’m sure you noticed if you caught any of my posts from last summer. Know what works for you and work it!
With the girly shape of this skirt, I wanted to amp up the edge with a moto jacket. I love balancing the feminine and masculine elements of each. Sooo obsessed with the ribbing on the sleeves too – a perfect little detail. The best part is that it’s under $50 so it doesn’t break the bank either!
Another piece that is critical to my closet is the white button up top. It literally goes with anything. Fit and flare skirts, skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans for that matter… it’s a pairing that will never go out of style. When you find a good one, you have to hang on to it too (or just buy multiple haha)! For some reason, I feel like button ups give you instant credibility too. Maybe I’ve just been on one too many business interviews or spent a few too many years in the work force and it’s swaying my opinion!
